Site: Chiti River at Purkot (55 mtrs)
A primary school is located near this bridge site in Purkot, while a 10+2 high school lies in the nearby village and road-head of Rampurtar. These two schools serve the children of both Purkot and Chok Chisapani VDCs (about 150 children in all), many of whom find it necessary to cross the Chiti River on a daily basis for schooling. Furthermore, for many of the Purkot villagers, a bridge at his site will shorten the time to access the health post near Rampurtar. A bridge will also provide easier access to the highway for many of the right bank residents of Purkot, improving transport of agricultural goods, access to medical care, and everyday travel throughout the region.
