Location: Between Bhirkot VDC of Tanahun District and Dandajheri VDC of Nawalparasi District at a site called Jaldevighat
Paid for by: The Poverty Alleviation Fund of the government of Nepal, through a program financed by the World Bank.
Length: 170 meters

Under construction: The Kali Gandaki River is one of the largest rivers in Nepal. Crossing at this site is extremely dangerous, especially during the monsoon months when the river swells to a rushing torrent. Currently, a small wooden boat is used to cross at Jaldevighat creating an extreme safety hazard to local travelers. The nearest reliable crossing is over three hours by foot from Jaldevighat. An estimated 20 to 25 students and 30 to 40 other villagers would use this crossing daily throughout the year.
