Location: Between Garayela and Purinkada VDCs of Rukum District, across the Sani Veri Khola
Paid for by: CSP Community Support Program
Length: 172 meters

With the generous help of CSP and a small contribution by the local VDCs, a TarPul at Gittakot was completed in June 2005. The Sani Veri Khola is one of Nepal's major bodies of water, snow fed, and is difficult to cross throughout much of the year. During the monsoon season, the river swells to exceptionally dangerous levels. Some of the villagers near Gittakot are shown crossing in these photographs. This bridge, at 172 meters is the longest to have been constructed in Nepal.
