The TarPul crossing at Gadhi allows easy access between the primary school at Gadhi and the high school located on the other bank at Ambhanjang. With the addition of this TarPul, travel time to Hetauda, the nearest major road head and District Center, is decreased by nearly four hours. There, residents can find major medical facilities and markets, and students are able to receive higher education training without moving from their villages. Construction of this TarPul was requested by the Gadhi VDC Secretary whose mother drowned while attempting to cross the river at this site 18 years earlier.

update: The TarPul at Gadhi was broken in a flood (Aug 04). The community have requested that ecosystems return and survey the damage.
