TarPul cross over the Chaku Gorge

TarPul cross over the Chaku Gorge

The Chaku River cuts through a cascading gorge of green foliage and heavy boulders in the remote district of Kavre. During the monsoon months, this gorge becomes a rushing torrent and an extreme hazard to residents of the area. The TarPul at Kuvintar provides safe crossing during the monsoon to approximately 15 students in the area as well as to 20-30 other villagers who use the wire bridge regularly to reach markets, healthposts, and other facilities.
