Built
with funds provided by Nepal School Projects, the TarPul across
the Rangja River provides access to schooling for nearly 50 local
children during the monsoon months. In addition, this crossing is
used by an estimated 50 villagers to reach health facilities and
markets in the nearby village of Rampu. The Rangja TarPul, like
several of our wire bridges, is located in a remote area where political
tensions can run high. To ensure that the local people ultimately
benefit from our projects, EcoSystems makes every effort to establish
a positive working relationship with all political parties involved.
Subsequently, we have succeeded in providing aid to otherwise politically
isolated areas.
