CDC Nepal, an NGO operating in the Kavre District east of Kathmandu, requested a TarPul across the Sun Koshi River to provide four different VDCs with access to the nearest health post located at Bolde, a full day's journey from the site without the TarPul crossing. Now, an estimated 100-150 people use this crossing each day to reach the health post (run by Dhulikhel Hospital) and other VDCs in the area. Funding for this bridge was made possible by the generous cooperation of Dhulikhel Hospital, Fonds Pavarti of Belgium, and the Rotary Club of Menlo Park, California.
