Crossing the Kamro river

West of Kathmandu and just east of Pokhara is Lamjung District, known for it's beautiful trekking and scenery. There, the Kamro Khola cuts deep through the hills and across a major supply trail, creating an impossible barrier to the efficient transport of goods during the monsoon months. The TarPul at Pasgaun, however, means safe and reliable crossing of this impressive gorge year round. Villagers and porters make an estimated 100 crossings at this site every day during the monsoon months.
